Intercultural development

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion's Intercultural Training Director is a Qualified Administrator of two intercultural competence assessments that could be utilized within your college, department, and team. There is a cost associated with these assessments.

Intercultural development inventory

The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI)  is a premier cross-culturally reliable and valid assessment of intercultural competence. It is validated on an intercultural continuum from monocultural to intercultural orientations. This 50-question assessment provides individualized results as well as a growth plan design for the orientation of the individual. The IDI can also provide group orientations for a full department. The IDI has been used extensively across educational institutions and companies to foster intercultural learning and development.

Intercultural conflict style inventory

Misunderstandings and conflicts within communication can occur across cultural differences. The Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory (ICS) is an 18-question cross-culturally validated assessment of an individual's approach to communicating, problem-solving, and resolving conflicts. The ICS can be very helpful in generating self-awareness and mutual understanding across differences among team members.
